Fabulous Five - Favourite Products of the Month

These are my favourite products of the month, there are more lovely products I have found, but these the ones that made the cut, to become some of my daily essentials.

Champneys Age Excellence Ultimate Radiance Day Cream

I usually steer clear of 'anti age' moisturisers, as I usually find they are far to rich and heavy for my oily skin, but I was sent this one to test, so I gave it a try. I have to say, it is a really wonderful moisturiser, and I'm thinking that my views of anti-aging products may be a little outdated. This moisturiser is very light, and is the only moisturiser I have ever used that gives just the right amount of hydration to my skin, without leaving me feeling greasy. It absorbs so quickly, and gives beautiful natural radiance to the skin.

I'm 27, and am lucky enough to look younger, and have good, clear skin, so premature skin aging isn't a huge concern for me at the moment, but I will definitely purchase this moisturiser when I run out of it, because it suits my skin perfectly, and will hopefully keep any unwanted fine lines at bay. It costs £30.00 from Boots, and the Champneys range is currently on 3 for 2, there is a serum, night cream and and eye cream in the same range, which I'm looking forward to trying too.

There is only one complaint that I have about this product, which is the packaging. It comes in a very deceptive pump bottle which contains 50ml, but looks at least double that size.

Simple Kind to Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On

I have suffered with really puffy and irritated eyes recently, (probably due to lack of sleep from having a little baby), so when I spotted this I thought I'd give it a try. It is only £4.99, and I got it as part of a 3 for 2 when I was buying a couple of other items (gotta love Boots!). This roll on gel-liquid is like an eye mask in a tube, it is full of vitamins and nutrients. It instantly soothes and refreshes, and reduces redness. It is great to wake up tired eyes, and absorbs easily, so is fine under eye make up. A great budget product that is really effective.

Bourjois Rose Exclusif Lipgloss

This self adjusting clear gloss supposedly reacts to the pH of your skin, to create a perfect pink to match your skin tone. This is not a new concept, Barry M have a lipstick that does the same, I bought it as I liked the idea of it in a gloss. It gives a super wet-look glossy shine, and it adjusts almost instantly, into a very deep pink. I have a feeling it will turn the same colour on everyone, and that it is just a bit of a gimmick, but I love it anyway. Even when the glossy finish wears off, it stains lips, so you are left with a lovely pink, lipstain effect. I paid £4.99 for it, as it was on offer, but it is now £6.99, from Superdrug, and is worth a try if you are a pink gloss lover.

Left to Right - Champneys Age Excellence,
Bourjois Rose Exclusif, Chanel Rouge Allure Laque

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Coromandel

Expensive but GORGEOUS, £25.00 from Debenhams, but it is just so stunning, I can almost justify the cost. If I had the money, I'd buy every shade, the colours are all gorgeous, but being a red lip lover, I chose this bold, bright orange-red. It has the most amazing light reflective properties, almost holographic, as well as being super glossy and long-wearing. My absolute FAVOURITE lipstick ever.

Mavala Double Lash Treatment

O.K, so this one has sneaked in, but I am hoping and praying that this product is a good one, so many expensive lash growth treatments are available now, which are just too pricey for me to justify trying out. This was just £8.40 from Amazon so I had to give it a go. I have hardly any eyelashes after a bad reaction to a mascara, they just crumbled and fell out, so I am desperate to find a lash growth product that works. I've read a few good reviews about this, so if it works for me, (the ultimate test) I will let you know. It is Swiss, so I have high hopes!

What are your opinions of my Fabulous Five this month? Have you tried any of them?

Love Edie xx
