I had a bit of a shopping spree earlier today, and was tempted by the GOSH Cosmetics in Superdrug being on 3 for 2. I bought a Multicolour Blush in 50 Pink Pie, a Quattro Eyeshadow in 24 Platinum and a Brow Kit. I am always drawn to the GOSH stand by all of the bright coloured shadows and bold packaging, but I don't often buy from the range, so this was a good opportunity to try out some of their products.
I will tell you about the eyeshadow palette today, as I tried it out this evening. The four shades are, pale frosted white, taupe, a shimmery silver and a dark grey. I was expecting these shadows to be very highly pigmented, but they actually aren't. I struggled to build up the lightest shade on my lid, with both a brush and a sponge applicator. I didn't use the shadows damp though, so I expect you could get a much stronger effect using them with a wet brush.
I tried to do an evening eye-make up look, but not too heavy (my eyes are super sensitive today). Here are the products I used:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco
- No7 Creme Touch Powder in Fair Bloom
- GOSH Quattro Palette in Platinum (all shades)
- Boots 17 Pencil Eyeliner in Onyx
- Chanel Les 4 Ombres in Enigma (only the darkest shade on lower lid)
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Mascara 01 Black
- Eyeluscious False Lashes
As you can see in above the picture, the shadows do not give a strong colour when used dry, but they look nice all the same. Even though I was trying for an evening look, I think this is more my kind of daytime make-up . I will try them again on another day, to see if they are better when applied with a damp brush. Would love to hear your comments!
