The Lipstick Tag - 7 Quick Questions

1. When you were a child, did you use your mother's lipsticks?

Erm, no! My mum is not a fan of make-up, I think the only item she owned was a liquid liner (which I'd never seen her wear) that I found in a drawer when I was about 11 years old, and I have worn liquid liner ever since!

2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?

About 11 or 12 years old! I went from being a tom boy to girly-girl overnight! Once I discovered make up, that was it. I was hooked instantly.

3. Pink or red lipstick?

Red, red, red. There is nothing more stunning than perfectly applied red lipstick. I do love pink too, but red lipstick is a classic and timeless look, that ANYONE can pull off, as long as they find the right shade.

4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Coromandel, which cost £25.00, and it was so worth the money. It is an orange - red, but not too much so. It has a very unique, almost holographic, metallic shine, totally stunning.

5. And the cheapest?

Collection 2000 Lasting Colour which are £2.99, I've had a few of these, and they are really not bad for the price. Great if you want to try out a new colour.

6. Do you use a lip brush to apply your lipstick?

No. Unless its a very strong colour, like a berry or dark plum, and I'm scared of smearing it all over the place!

7. If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?

Ooooh! Tough question! There are so many brands and types to choose from! I would say, that every girl deserves an expensive red lipstick in their collection. I have an Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect lippy in Red Brick (discontinued colour. Boo) which is so highly pigmented and very creamy. It costs about £18.50, but it's long wearing, hydrating and is almost like a lip treatment too, with anti-oxidants and vitamins for an anti-aging and plumping effect.

I want to pass this tag on to a few other beauty bloggers, who's blogs I absolutely love. Some of them I know are true lipstick lovers, and I'd love to see what their answers will be. Check out their blogs with the links below:

I really liked this post! I love red lipstick too, but my lips are so small I feel stupid wearing it, I'll leave it to those lucky ladies with the lovely Angelina Jolie lips! Looking forward to reading more of your blog! x
