Nail of the Day - Summer Floral Nails with 17 Miami Pop Palm Beach

The lovely people at Boots sent me a 17 Nail Polish, from their latest collection - Miami Pop, so I thought I'd try it out. The shade is Palm Beach, and it is a real Barbie pink. I have to say I'm SUPER impressed with the 17 polishes, like I said in my last NOTD post, they do everything you need a nail polish to do - fast drying, give a super smooth and easy application and are incredibly opaque and glossy in only two thin coats, and they are incredibly reasonably priced at £2.99.

I thought I'd compare it to one of Collection 2000's Hot Looks polishes in Candy Floss - a cute marshmallow pink, which retails at £1.79. I also added some little flower stickers by Elegant Touch for a bright and fun summer look (which my baby girl is fascinated with!).

The difference in quality here is quite significant. The collection 2000 brush is really not good, it drags, and for this pale and opaque shade of polish, that is not ideal. It also required 3 thick coats, and still looked a little uneven. I would choose the 17 polish over this one for sure.

Do you ever alternate colours on your nails? This is not my usual style at all, but it was fun to do, and I think it makes a really nice bright statement.

Love Edie xx
