About Edie

A little space to find out a bit more about me.....

My name is Edith (Edie) Bryan, and I am the owner, editor and writer of Edie Loves. I live on the exceptionally beautiful coast of North Wales, in the UK. I'm 29 years old and have two beautiful children - my son Dylan, and daughter Isabelle.

I started blogging following the birth of my second child, when I became really poorly and was feeling a little out of touch with the world. I wanted a place to air my thoughts and opinions, share my passion for beauty (and everything else) and blogging seemed like a great platform.

I am a trained beauty therapist (esthetician) and began working in the beauty industry when I was just 17 years old.

I started as a junior nail technician at a local nail salon, and then in 2005 I started up my own beauty salon in my home town. I specialise in nails, but I am qualified in all aspects of beauty from waxing to skincare. Although my background is in beauty, more recently I have developed a passion for business and marketing. I'm working on lots of exciting projects with independent businesses and some amazing brands, and I have my own consultancy business in development too.

I'm an entrepreneur, marketer and social
media addict with a creative spirit!

Since starting Edie Loves in May 2011, I have received great feedback and support from my readers, as well as other bloggers and of course my dear friends and family. Because of this warm welcome into the blogosphere, I have found the confidence to return to study, and I am now working towards a BA in Business and Marketing.

I really hope you enjoy the posts and topics shared on this blog. I always love to hear from readers, so feel free to let me know what you think of my ramblings either via e-mail ediebryan@gmail.com or on twitter @edie_bryan

Love Edie xx

Some of my blogging achievements and contributions:

In October 2011, I became an official contributor for Temptalia, writing specifically about Nail Care as an 'Industry Insider'. This was such a huge achievement for me, as Christine, who founded Temptalia is a huge inspiration to all beauty bloggers, so I am incredibly lucky to have been part of the Temptalia team.
